J.C. Penney (NYSE: JCP) announced this morning it would be adding Bill Ackman and Steven Roth to its board of directors in an effort to create more shareholder value. Might I suggest carrying clothes I like?

Sarah Lee (NYSE: SLE) received a joint bid from Bain Capital and Apollo Group, in excess of $18.70 per share. I guess it's true. Nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee.
