Viacom Reports 5% Total Revenue Growth Despite Rock Band Loss, Benchmark Reports
Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA) reported F4Q10 (September) total revenue growth of 5% y/y to $3.3 billion, “matching consensus despite the reclassification of Rock Band [creator, Harmonix] to discontinued operations,” Benchmark reports.
“Reduced costs due to fewer film and home entertainment releases were offset by lower margins and higher corporate expenses, driving 4% y/y OIBDA growth to $943 million,” Benchmark writes. “Adjusted EPS was $0.75, topping consensus of $0.70, excluding the loss from Rock Band.”
Viacom currently trades a $44.59.
