J.P. Morgan Approves Of Gartner (IT) Acquisitions
J.P. Morgan analysts David Lewis, Michael A. Meltz and Nadia Lovell reiterated their Overweight rating for shares of Gartner Inc (NYSE: IT), with a price target of $28 per share.
One of the reasons the analysts like Gartner Inc shares is that they see potential upside from two of its recent acquisitions: Burton Group’s front line IT research and AMR supplychain research.
The J.P. Morgan analysts wrote, "Gartner drove strong sales from the Burton and AMR offerings in Q1 despite some selling constraints. Product training, a seasonally slower Q1 new business quarter, and the mid-quarter launch of the Burton offering all weighed on Q1 contract value growth.Gartner still managed to increase contract value $3 million, or 6%, to $54 million. That’s ahead of the pace that we were looking for in Q1 to meet 2011 accretion targets."
