CenterPoint Below Estimates, 2010/2011 Estimates Maintained

CenterPoint Energy (NYSE: CNP) reported EPS of $0.20, below Jefferies' estimates of $0.23. Jefferies reaffirmed its 2010 earnings guidance of $1.02 to $1.12 per share.

Jefferies maintains its 2010 and 2011 EPS and estimates pf $1.04 and $1.15, respectively. 3Q estimates are increased to $0.28 from $0.26 and 4Q estimates are increased $0.01 to $0.27.

Jefferies has raised the price target from $14 to $15 and reiterates "hold".

CenterPoint Energy closed yesterday at $14.73.
