Compass Point Research Comments on Regions Financial

Compass Point Research provided color on Regions Financial (NYSE: RF) in a research report published today. Compass Point Research has given Regions Financial a Sell Rating, and $5 price target.

In the report, Compass Point Research states, "In our opinion, receiving a net gain of a max of $298M is a negative for shareholders of RF given they would be eliminating an average of $73M of annual revenue. Essentially selling the business for a 4x earnings net gain clearly indicates that RF is receiving pressure to raise additional capital."

Shares of Regions Financial were trading at $6.10 at the time of posting, down 1.77% from Wednesday's market close.
