Barrington Research Sees Mixed Bag For Apollo Education Group
In a report published Wednesday, Barrington Research analyst Alexander Paris reiterated a Market Perform rating on Apollo Education Group (NASDAQ: APOL).
In the report, Barrington Research noted, “This morning, before the market's open, Apollo Education Group reported the results of its fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year ended August 31, in which revenues missed while EPS (ex items) topped expectations (cost cutting). Positives: starts were down 5.9% (better than expected), at a lesser rate than Q3/14 (‐12.9%); and starts commentary suggests Q1/15 starts to be no worse than Q4/14 with sequential improvement expected throughout FY/15. The negative: management's initial guidance was soft and translates into EPS roughly 15% below current consensus estimates.”
Apollo Education Group closed on Tuesday at $26.87.
