Talented Blonde Kristin Bentz On Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Departure: 'Mike Jeffries Was Always Very Scandalous'
Speaking to Benzinga, retail analyst and Talented Blonde President Kristin Bentz said that Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) departing CEO Michael Jeffries was a strange guy.
Bentz said that Jeffries oversaw the retailer that became the first to do “sex prep,” where all of the company’s creative featured highly sexualized teens with males without shirts and females wearing very short skirts.
“Mike Jeffries was always very scandalous,” she said.
She explained that Jeffries went on record saying that Abercrombie does not want plus-sized teens wearing its brand, when Bentz said that fifty percent of women in the U.S. are size fourteen or higher.
“So why is the stock up? Because thank god they got this guy out of there. He’s a nut,” she said.
