Does Twitter Need 'Adult Supervision?' This Market Pro Thinks So

MND Partners' Timothy Anderson thinks that Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) needs "adult supervision" that can "plug in" its data to a much larger business model.

Anderson states that if Google Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) were to acquire Twitter, the downside is that Twitter would become just one of a couple dozen of Google's "projects" that may some day be an integrated part of its core business.

So what does Twitter need to really succeed moving forward?

"I think it's a case of needing new senior management, not a new owner, to get the company to the next level," Anderson told Benzinga.

Shares of Twitter traded up 3.7 percent in Thursday's premarket.
