Street Roundup: Bullish On Verizon (VZ)
A look at recent analyst views on telecom behemoth Verizon Inc. (NYSE: VZ) indicates pleasant prospects. Analysts at BMO Capital Markets have rated an Outperform with a price target of $35.00 attributing its views to stable operational outlook, attractive valuations and wireless revenues offsetting declines in the wire-line segment.
Michael Rollins, analyst at Citigroup also reiterated a Buy on the stock stating benefits accruing from improving FiOS scale and cost cutting potential.
Analysts at Jeffries initiated coverage on Verizon with a Buy rating and a price target of $37. Jeffries believes that Verizon is the best wireless network provider in the U.S. markets and offers an attractive dividend yield. However concerns were raised over declining subscriber growth and ARPU’s (Average Rentals Per User).
Analysts at Goldman Sachs also reiterated a Buy on Verizon with a price target of $36.00; however, increasing pressure on wire-line margins has been cited as a major risk.
