Fisher Says Won't Support More Stimulus
Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher is putting a damper on things today if you are a bull.
He just made comments that crossed the Bloomberg terminal that is putting a wrench in the rally, and has the markets well off their highs.
Fisher said that he will not support additional stimulus even if the economy remains weak. He is saying that the money out in the system is not being put to work, despite record levels of cash sitting out there.
Earlier, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said that the Federal Reserve would consider additional stimulus if the economy continued to slow.
Bernanke is testifying in front of Congress today and tomorrow to discuss the state of the economy.
