European markets are now closed. Stock markets across Europe performed as follows:
The U.K. FTSE rose 0.8%.
The German DAX rose 1.1%.
The French CAC rose 1.3%.
The Spanish IBEX rose 1.0%.
The Portuguese PSI rose 1.0%.
The euro is down against the dollar by 0.43% to 1.2382.
