European Markets Mostly Higher
European markets are now closed. Stock markets across Europe performed as follows:
The U.K. FTSE rose 0.54%.
The German DAX gained 0.49%.
The French CAC added 0.46%.
The Spanish IBEX tacked on 0.46%.
The Portuguese PSI lost 1.7%
In European news, Greece passed major changes in its pension system and raised the retirement age to 65 and slashed benefits.
Spain also announced that it will allow savings banks to be bought by private investors, including outsiders.
