Bond Yields Tumbling
Yields on U.S. Treasuries have tumbled today, as comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke spooked the markets, sending bonds higher and yields lower. Prices of bonds and yields move in opposite directions.
The yield on the 10 year bond is at 2.87%, the 30 year bond is at 3.88% and the 5 year bond is at 1.64%.
Equity prices are also falling in conjunction with these movements.
