New Twitter Security Flaw!

New Twitter Security Flaw!

There's a new security flaw in Twitter's neighborhood, and it is being widely exploited, according to USA Today.

What is happening on thousands of Twitter accounts is that users are getting redirected to third-party websites without giving consent, meaning pop-ups and websites can even be opened just by rolling your mouse over the link or text.

The best plan to protect yourself (as the bug can even redirect the user to porn-sites) is to use only third-party apps like TweetDeck to access Twitter, since the bug only seems to affect Twitter's web interface. Messages containing the flaws can be deleted using a third-party app.

Twitter has yet to comment on the incident on any of its blogs or in person.
