BREAKING NEWS: Billions Survive ObamaCare Apocalypse

As we all know, ObamaCare was signed into law. This morning, on the way to work, I looked around and saw that this morning was pretty much like yesterday morning.

And the morning before that.

The absence of flaming demons, cackling horsemen, the Angel of Death, Vishnu, and a host of other post-apocalyptic figures - not to mention the lack of Obama Execution Squads roaming the countryside, searching for grandmothers in hiding - made me somehow realize that passing ObamaCare didn't cause the country to disastrously descend into a communistic horror story.

But, that is what we were led to believe by Republicans! Okay, so I exaggerate (slightly). Republicans are sure to respond that the vile, evil effects of a drastic, socialist program are coming. It sounds plausible - after all, any asinine and illogical position cloaked in fear sounds plausible when you put it far enough in the future. But these arguments sound vaguely familiar - like the ones that were offered to counter the creation of Social Security and then Medicare.

(Not that I was present for either. I get my information from a unique source of information apart from Hannity and Olbermann - books.)

There are legitimate concerns about ObamaCare, but really, the virulent, raging, angry and childish prophecies of doom spouted by Republicans over the last year are so out of proportion, they could cause an apocalypse themselves.

An apocalypse of stupid.
