Financial Pundits Express Both Optimism, Pessimism On Sodastream International Ltd
Sodastream International Ltd (NASDAQ: SODA) stocks were halted before the market open Tuesday after negative preliminary earnings results were reported.
The company’s revenue is hovering around $125 million, almost 20 percent less than the Capital IQ estimate of $153 million.
Financial pundits took to Twitter with their varied reactions.
There were quite a few comparisons to what happened when GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: GTAT) announced bankruptcy on Monday:

Perhaps $SODA will declare an emergency surprise bankruptcy too, just like $GTAT. One can only hope of such things

Many had a pessimistic view on Sodastream:
No $SODA takeover. But awful sales guidance. I don't think this stock will "pop" once it resumes trading.

Congrats to @AlderLaneeggs for the right call: $SODA a disaster.

No one drinks $SODA anymore. This isn't 1991

But others were somewhat optimistic:
