Assassin's Creed Mirage Launches A Week Early, Pre-Order Haptic Vest For $588

Ubisoft Entertainment SA (OTC: UBSFF) revealed the game, Assassin's Creed Mirage, will be launching a week earlier than originally planned, on Oct. 5.

Announcing the updated launch date via Twitter, the change seems to stem from the game having reached the "gone gold" stage, indicating the completion of the launch version.

"Assassin's Creed Mirage has gone gold and is coming out a week early! On behalf of the entire team, we can't wait for you to explore 9th Century Baghdad with Basim. Your journey now starts on October 5. Save the new date!" the game's official account tweeted.

Unlike some other titles in the series, Mirage focuses on a more traditional Assassin's Creed gameplay style and a shorter 20- to 23-hour completion time. The game's map will also be smaller, resembling the scale of Paris in Assassin's Creed Unity.

Recently, the French company disclosed it had joined forces with Spanish company OWO to create a haptic feedback vest that allows a player to feel every move, every punch, and every exhilarating parkour leap while playing the game.

The vest is now available for pre-order, at approximately $588 (or 539€), and it includes a digital copy of the game.
