Easier To Break The Bank Of England Than It Is To Break A Scorned Woman

The New York Daily News reported this morning that the ex-girlfriend of hedge fund honcho and financier, George Soros, Adriana Ferreyr is suing Soros for $50 million over a broken promise.

Ferreyr says that the philanthropist promised the 28-year-old Brazilian soap opera star an apartment on Lexington Ave., and he reneged on his promise.

Soros wound up giving the place to a new woman after he and Ferreyr split close to the time of closing.

"This is a blatant attempt to shake down George Soros," said Michael Vachon, Soros' spokesman to the News. "The lawsuit is frivolous and completely without merit."

"It's 1/7000th of his wealth," said Ferreyr's lawyer to the News. "She just wants what he promised her."

Soros recently closed his hedge fund to outside investors, but he will still manage his own money, as well as his family's.
