Jeff Zucker Leaving NBC

Jeff Zucker announced he is leaving NBC Universal after General Electric's (NYSE: GE) stake in NBC Universal is acquired by Comcast Corp. (NYSE: CMCSA).

The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.

It is not yet known where Zucker will wind up, though some have speculated he could wind up in private equity or perhaps running a sports franchise.
