President Obama: “My #1 Priority is To Do What's Right For The American People”

During today's press conference, President Obama said that he is supporting the tax cut deal because he wants to make sure that our paychecks aren't cut because of political battles.

“My number-one priority is to do what's right for the American people,” the President said. “This isn't about politics of the moment. It's about what we can do right now.”

President Obama outlined three key points regarding the tax cut:

1) If you're a parent trying to pay college tuition, you'll continue to see tax breaks next year.

2) If you're a small biz trying to grow, you'll have a tax cut next year.

3) As a result of this agreement, we'll cut payroll taxes that will raise about $1,000 take home pay for the average family.
