Afternoon Market Update (TTM, NEM, FUL)
Shares of US-listed Tata Motors (NYSE: TTM) moved up about 3.3% after a wide rally in the Indian company's home exchange. The stock has reached a new high on Wall Street. TTM’s shares have advanced 41% year-to-date and have risen about twofold in the past 52 weeks. The benchmark gauge of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has closed higher for the sixth straight session, with investors continuing to buy stocks on the growth prospects of India.
Shares of Newmont Mining Corp (NYSE: NEM) jumped after the rise in gold to a record level of $1,260 an ounce. Newmont Mining’s shares gained about 5.26% to 63.60 at 11:20 am.
Shares of HB Fuller Co (NYSE: FUL) moved down after the company reported a 46% y/y decline in its FQ3 profit due to lower margins. However, the company’s revenue increased, driven by higher prices and volume. FUL’s results failed to meet analyst expectations. The company has also lowered its growth projections for the fiscal year. FUL’s shares lost about 5.60%.
