SRE, RBS Enter Deal With Noble Group
Sempra Energy (NYSE: SRE) and Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc (NYSE: RBS) announced on Monday that they had agreed to sell the Sempra Energy Solutions unit to Noble Group Ltd (OTC: NOBGF) for $582 million. The unit is part of their RBS-Sempra Commodities joint venture. According to the deal, $317 million will be paid in cash and $265 million will be in debt assumption.
Shares of RBS gained 0.74% to $15.05 at 9:55 am, while shares of SRE inched up 0.08% to $53.12. NOBGF shares rose 0.75% to $1.35 at the same time.
