Fed Buys $427 Million During POMO
The New York Federal Reserve purchased $427 million in U.S. Treasury Inflation Protected Securities (TIPS) debt during its permanent open market operations (POMO) today.
Dealers submitted $4.898 billion worth of debt, with the government receiving almost five bids for every one it accepted, which is sharply higher than in previous auctions.
Maturities purchased were from 04/15/2013 - 02/15/2041.
