Wiz Khalifa Teams Up With George Clinton To Drop An Infused Cannabis Line

Funk is in the air—and now, it's in your pre-roll.

George Clinton, the godfather of funk, is teaming up with Wiz Khalifa to launch THE FUNK, a new line of infused cannabis pre-rolls debuting this week at Planet 13 (OTC:PLNH) Las Vegas, one of the world's largest dispensaries.

The product is dropping Friday, May 2 at 4 p.m. PT, with Clinton appearing for a fan meet-and-greet at Planet 13’s flagship location at 2548 W Desert Inn Rd. The celebration continues afterward at DAZED!, the onsite consumption lounge.

"I'm beyond stoked to be joining forces with my man Wiz Khalifa on this project," said Clinton. "When Wiz first brought up this collab, I instantly knew something cosmic was about to happen. For Wiz, the partnership was a no-brainer.

"I love George Clinton. When he said he was down to work on a weed project, I knew we were going to make it extra dope," said Khalifa. "THE FUNK is awesome and will get you high as can be. You need the Funk."

THE FUNK will be sold under the Khalifa Kush umbrella, which opened its first “store-in-store” at Planet 13 last summer. The line kicks off with pre-rolls, but according to DJ Saul, CEO of Khalifa Kush, more products—including additional cannabis formats and limited-edition accessories—are already in the works.

The collaboration adds another chapter to Planet 13’s growing list of celebrity drops.
