Apple to Address iPhone Problems This Friday
Today the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) will publicly address criticism over iPhone 4 reception issues in a press conference this Friday.
Since the iPhone 4 launched in mid-June, user complaints have been mounting over connectivity issues. The iPhone's new antenna design, which exposes the antenna to touch makes the device more susceptible to interference than most cellphones.
These user theories were tested out by Consumer Reports magazine that said this past Monday it could not recommend purchase of the Apple device.
Apple has addressed the issue once already, saying that there was in fact a software issue that skewed the way in which the iPhone displays signal strength, but the iPhone hardware itself is not faulty.
Tomorrow we will see what, if any solution Apple will provide to the millions of early adopters that helped the iPhone 4 launch become what was according to Apple CEO Steve Jobs, "(the) most successful product launch in Apple history."
