Cryptocurrency investors had much to smile about in 2024 as the market capitalization nearly doubled and many top assets like Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) yielded massive returns.
As we approach 2025, these market participants will look to improve their financial acumen and adopt investment strategies that will position them well in what could be a lucrative year.
Here are a few New Year resolutions to consider heading into 2025.
What happened: MartyParty, a widely followed cryptocurrency influencer and trader, urged participants to stop "gambling" on cryptocurrencies to make easy money in 2025 and rather become technology investors.
"Start understanding the technology, the infrastructure components being built and tested, and the way in which they will be used to redefine the financial system," MartyParty stated.
He also suggested investing in assets that represent infrastructure.
"It is 2025. We are about to see the technology used for the first time, meme coins were part of a liveness test. Invest in the infrastructure that facilitated meme coins so successfully."
Turkey-based cryptocurrency exchange firm BtcTurk also outlined a list of crypto-related resolutions for 2025.
These included studying more about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and reading at least one cryptocurrency news source daily to be abreast of the latest trends and developments.
The exchange also urged traders to take the safety of their wallets seriously through multi-factor authentication and explore keeping their assets in self-custody. It also pushed for reviewing security settings once every quarter.
