What's Going On With NIO Stock Today?

NIO (NYSE:NIO) introduced the inaugural model of its sub-brand Onvo (Ledao in China), the L60, on May 15 without revealing the details regarding the battery.

However, specifics regarding the model’s battery pack have emerged in a regulatory filing, reported CnEV Post.

According to a recent catalog released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the standard-range version of the Onvo L60 will come equipped with a 60.6 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 501 to 555 kilometers, the report read.

Nio introduced its Onvo sub-brand on May 15 and commenced pre-sales of the L60 at RMB 219,900 ($30,220), which includes the battery pack.

At the time of its launch, the electric vehicle (EV) maker did not disclose specifics about the battery pack of the Onvo L60.

However, they stated that the standard-range version of the model achieves a CLTC range of 555 kilometers, while the long-range version surpasses 730 kilometers.

Unlike Nio’s main brand, which exclusively offers dual-motor models, the Onvo L60 will also be available in both single and dual-motor variants, CnEV Post added.

Meanwhile, NIO has completed the design phase of their internally developed smart driving chips, signaling their imminent integration into production vehicles.

This marks the next phase towards integrating these chips into production vehicles.

At Nio Day 2023 on December 23, Nio introduced its inaugural in-house autonomous driving chip, the Shenji NX9031, crafted using a cutting-edge 5 nm manufacturing process.
