Forex, Futures And Posing For Playboy

Few people would expect the average Wall Street trader to be young, smart, and astonishingly beautiful. But Georgia Anderson is far from average. As the founder of GAFNN.com (the Georgia Anderson Financial News Network), Anderson has created a social network that combines the lighthearted fun of Facebook with important info for traders and investors.

Benzinga recently spoke to Anderson, who hinted at some of the future plans she has for GAFNN.com.

“I don't want to say the names right now because I'm still negotiating, but I'm gonna have some sponsor coming up soon,” she said. “And of course, in the website, I have all kinds of members. I have some that are just regular traders, some members that run big companies, and they all share their experiences together. They talk to each other and have questions for those with a lot of experience. We create groups. We're gonna start a chat room.”

Anderson landed her first job in trading after attending law school in Italy. “It just happened by chance,” she said. “I had this opportunity – I took the opportunity. I liked the job, I was really good at it, and then I knew about Forex and Futures and went from there.”

Her success in Forex and Futures (as well as her unbelievable body) caught the attention of Playboy (NYSE: PLA), which hired her for its Women of Wall Street issue.

“Basically….that was just something fun to do,” she said. “I mean, I enjoyed the experience and everything, [but] it was not my job. Just a one-time experience that I've done.”

In time, Anderson hopes to expand the content of her site. “I want to expand the website more and talk about equities and stocks and other financial subjects,” she revealed. “I started with Forex because that's what I know, but of course I want to expand my knowledge and bring in people who have other knowledge to make it a bigger financial [community].”
