S&P 500 Index Futures Lower In Volatile Trading

S&P 500 index futures were trading lower by eight points at 2113 in Thursday's session. After a substantial decline on Tuesday and snap-back rally on Wednesday, the index has been mostly lower in a choppy session.
Off the open it found resistance ahead of the pre-market high (2121.75) which coincided with Wednesday's close (2121), only reaching 2120.25. So far, it has continued to make new incremental lows, reaching 2110.50 on its latest dip.
Most of the top 10 components in the index are in the red. Leading the way on the downside is JP Morgan (NYSE: JPM), which is trading lower by $0.72 at $65.75. The index is also being dragged down by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), which is trading lower by $0.66 at $131.38.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) was trading at $211.93, down $0.74.
