Lean Hogs Sharply Lower

Friday's USDA hog slaughter was 396,000 head versus a year ago at 261,000 head.

Lean hog futures ended the session sharply lower. Trading was very choppy and some general selling was occurring during the latter part of the trading day. October Lean Hogs were trading at 63.52, down 2.17. December Lean Hogs were trading at 60.32, down 1.57.
