Live Cattle Futures Trading Lower

February live cattle is trading at 119.47, down 0.40 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 118.20, down 0.47 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 107.75, down 0.35 cents/lb

Live cattle futures are trading lower just after the open.

Market chatter about cash prices, weather and the upcoming cattle of feed report due out Friday is making the rounds. Wednesday's USDA cattle slaughter was 112,000 head. The total slaughter for the week is now 338,000 head versus a year ago at 333,000 head.
