Live Cattle Futures Little Higher
April live cattle is trading at 115.02, up 0.20 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 105.42, up 0.15 cents/lb
Live cattle futures are trading a little higher just after the open. Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 113,000 head, the total for last week is now 446,000 head versus a year ago at 433,000 head.
Thursday's USDA monthly supply demand report showed a revision higher in beef production of 45 million pounds and rise in imports of 35 million pounds. The revisions were offset by a 75 million pound increase in exports.
