Cocoa Futures Little Higher
May New York Cocoa is trading at 2000, up 13 $/MT.
July New York Cocoa is trading at 2003, up 9 $/MT.
New York Cocoa futures are trading choppy after Wednesday's sharp move up.
Talk about supplies of cocoa in West Africa has kept buyers and sellers active. Chatter about news that Ivory Coast government officials are going to appoint a team to deal with the large amount of cocoa beans piling up at the ports. Lower cocoa prices and slack global demand has caused producers to bring cocoa to the market they had been storing and waiting for higher prices.
