April live cattle is trading at 115.92, up 0.42 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 106.00, up 0.37 cents/lb

Live cattle futures are trading higher.

Chatter About consumer demand and cash prices is making the rounds.

Monday's USDA cattle slaughter was 116,000 head versus 104,000 head a year ago.
