Lean Hog Futures Trading Higher
April lean hogs are trading at 67.22, up 0.47 cents/lb. June lean hogs are trading at 76.85, up 0.45 cents/lb
Lean hog futures are trading higher just after the open. Talk about weather for animal movement and cash hog prices along with the price of poultry is making the rounds.
Friday's USDA hog slaughter was 419,000 head, Saturday's was 130,000 head.
The total hog slaughter for last week was 2,311,000 head versus 2,224,000 head a year ago.
