Lean Hog Futures Mixed

April lean hogs are trading at 68.32, up 0.27 cents/lb. June lean hogs are trading at 77.27, down 0.15 cents/lb

Lean hog futures are trading choppy and on both sides of unchanged just after the open.

Tuesday's USDA hog slaughter was 443,000 head versus 436,000 head a year ago. The USDA hog slaughter for the week is now 886,000 head versus a year ago at 870,000 head.
