Apple to Introduce Text Books for the New Tablet. - Will Text Books be the Next Chapter in the E-Book Wars?

Adding to all the buzz about Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) new tablet Computer is talk about putting text books on the Tablet. Will this be the next chapter in the e-book war?

In a story on Bloomberg, Apple is in talks with McGraw Hill, (NYSE: MHP) Hachette Book Group, and Wiley (NYSE:JW.A) to put text books on the tablet computer, which is expected to be released next week.

Adding text books to e-book readers would seem like perfect symmetry, since college age folks are the most likely to embrace new technologies.

I wonder how much the introduction of Apple’s Tablet will dent Amazon’s stock. Putting text books on the Tablet could be a boost for these text book publishers, depending on how much profit is involved.
