Why Themistrading Canceled Their Appearance On CNBC Today?

According to themistrading, they were invited by CNBC today to speak about the “flash crash” on Power Lunch. They were all prepared to give their take on Thursday’s crash, which reflected a defect in the market structure rather than a human error. They also wanted to discuss about “how the NYSE has been hailing their “circuit breaker” slow model but is about to open a 400,000 square foot data center in Mahwah, NJ that caters to HFT.”

However, at the last moment, CNBC changed the plans and wanted them to talk about the European Union’s bailout plan for the euro, instead. They specified that although they would have loved to talk markets, they wanted to analyze and discuss the events of last week. Instead of switching to a new topic altogether, they canceled their appearance due today.

They can, however, be seen on Fox Business at 1pm and Bloomberg television at 3pm where they will be discussing the problems with the existing market structure.
