Dow Chemicals (DOW) CEO Discusses Restructuring On CNBC
Andrew Liveris, CEO of Dow Chemicals (NYSE: DOW), stated that the company has moved over the trying times and is looking for the bright time ahead.
Talking with CNBC, Liveris said that many companies including Dow Chemicals had to undergo cost and organizational restructuring while dealing with the bad economy. He elaborated on Dow’s restructuring plans and said that the company is planning to derive 80% of its revenue from specialty chemicals.
Currently, specialty chemicals account for 2/3rd of Dow's revenues. Liveris said that now Dow chemicals are being used in Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) products as well.
