Cramer: Verizon Should Buy Sprint, Netflix (V, S, NFLX)
Should Verizon (NYSE: VZ) buy Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) and/or Sprint (NYSE: S)? That's the recommendation Jim Cramer gave on CNBC this afternoon.
“I propose that Verizon or AT&T (NYSE: T) should buy Netflix…before Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) buys them,” Cramer said. “When Groupon comes public, when Facebook goes public, we're wondering what the heck Netflix was doing at $12 billion when it's worth double that.”
As far as Sprint is concerned, Cramer's recommendation comes after the company's CEO, Dan Hesse, indicated that a merger with Verizon could be possible if the AT&T and T-Mobile deal goes through.
Cramer also spoke about Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), which he believes will be highly demanded in Japan.
Further, Cramer said that for Deere & Company (NYSE: DE), there is “nothing better” than ethanol, “‘cause what we're doing is burning food and holding back from burning fuel.”
