Cramer Bullish On NYX
CNBC's Jim Cramer was bullish today while interviewing NYSE Euronext’s (NYSE: NYX) CEO Duncan Niederauer. Jim mentioned that he liked the fact that NYX executed nicely on a beat and raise. NYX CEO Duncan Niederauer explained to Jim that NYX has largely increased their market share in options to 25.8% from 16% a year ago. He also explained that equity volumes use to be a huge metric for evaluating his company, but that metric is outdated because equity volume only makes up 10% of the company’s revenue.
Jim thinks that NYX has made a statement to the market by declaring two dividends in a row. He believes NYX is trying to return capital to its shareholders. Duncan agreed, saying that the stock has been relatively flat, and he wanted to reward the shareholders for holding onto the stock.
NYSE Euronext is trading up 1% intraday.
