AAPL’s Worldwide Developers Conference “Sold Out”

According to an article on CNBC, amidst the news of the nightmare on Wall Street when the Dow plunged nearly 1,000 points in one instant and the Nasdaq was down almost 200 points, came good news for the computer giant Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL).

Like all other stocks, AAPL too was beaten yesterday. The stock closed at $46.25, losing $9.74 or 3.80%. However, it seems that companies involved in operating system development are poised for a bright future ahead.

The "Sold Out" button for the event went live on AAPL’s website a mere 8 days after the company announced its Worldwide Developers Conference on April 28. This could be a heavy blow to the big trade shows like CES, which is trying to lure attendees. All this when there were rumors that this year’s AAPL show will be low on the buzz because of that leaked iPhone 4G prototype debacle.
