Randgold Resources Soaring As Gold Nears $1,900

Randgold Resources Ltd. (NASDAQ: GOLD) shares are soaring today, gaining more than 3% as gold continues to zoom higher.

The precious metal closed pit trading just under $1,900 an ounce today, and was recently trading around $1,892 an ounce in extended hours trading.

As such, the gold miner is moving sharply higher on nearly double the volume today.

At last check, shares were trading at $114.06, up $4.07 or 3.70% on 1.4 million shares.
