OmniVision Technologies Up Just 1% After Chipworks Reports Not in iPhone 4S

The drama with OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OVTI) does not seem to end.

Tech blog Chipworks reported that it does not look like an OmniVision Technologies chip is in the new Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone 4S, after weeks of "yes it is, no it's not." Chipworks reported originally it was not in the new phone, that a Sony (NYSE: SNE) chip was powering the 8 MP camera.

Then last week, Chipworks announced that it thought it had seen an OmniVision chip, which sent shares higher.

Shares of OVTI had been as high as $17.43, but are now trading at $16.92, up 13 cents after the article was published.
