Another White iPhone 4 Delay Leaves Consumers Scratching Their Heads (AAPL)

Another season, another delay. Apple, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) white iPhone 4 is becoming somewhat of a mystery – almost a UFO that people are certain exists but cannot personally touch…until spring 2011 at the soonest.

Does it exist? Or is it all in our heads? Only Steve Jobs can answer that one. In any case, I have a few theories that could explain the delay:

1. White is a color that looks much better in the spring. Or the fall. Or the summer. (Depending on when Apple finally decides to release this thing!)

2. Apple is developing a top-secret white paint that can double as additional flash memory, thereby eliminating the need for a traditional flash drive.

3. Apple will use the white iPhone 4 to launch the next evolution of the iPhone – a half-upgrade, if you will, that includes one or two features the diehard iPhone users won't be able to live without.

Obviously my first three theories couldn't possibly be true (unless paint can double as memory – that would be AWESOME!). But my third theory sounds pretty darn plausible, don't you think?
