Obama Aims To Knock Down Barriers

Share:

During a press conference today, President Obama said that he and his administration are working hard to knock down the barriers that make it difficult for Americans to compete in the worldwide marketplace.

Obama also said that as Americans, we know what it will take to win the future, both in terms of out-innovating and out-competing the competition.

“I understand the challenges you face,” Obama continued, noting the desire that firms have to cut costs and meet shareholder needs.

“But as we work with you to make America a better place to do business, I'm hoping that all of you are thinking of what you can do for America,” he said. “Ask yourself what you can do to hire more American workers.”

Perhaps most significantly, Obama said that we have a mutual responsibility to secure the future that we all share.
