U.S. Postal Service Not

Share:

According to a tweet from Zero Hedge, the U.S. Postal Service will not be making its $5.5 billion retiree payment on September 30, 2011 in full.

The United States Postal Service is undergoing a major restructuring, as it seeks to shed thousands of employees, while it deals with falling mail volumes. It's considered shutting Saturday service, and some have even speculated that UPS (NYSE: UPS) could buy the USPS and take over its business.
