A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning, after Thursday's House budget vote on the US debt ceiling was rescheduled. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 74 points to 12,119.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 7.20 points to 1,289.60. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 10.75 points to 2,359.25.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index dropped 0.90%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.97%, French CAC 40 index fell 1.27% and German DAX 30 index dropped 1.01%.

Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dipping 0.6366%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.85% and China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.26%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.5781% and India's Sensex dipped 0.09%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Robert W. Baird downgraded Constant Contact Inc (NASDAQ: CTCT) from “outperform” to “neutral.” The target price for Constant Contact has been lowered from $35 to $24.

Constant Contact shares fell 5.59% to $19.75 in after-hours trading.
