Steve Jobs Biography a Smash in China, Sells 250K Copies to Devoted Fans
In America, the only time people line up for a book is when Harry Potter or Twilight has a new entry.
In China, they are willing to line up for books with a bit more substance. At least, that was the case this week when the Steve Jobs biography arrived on Chinese store shelves. MICGadget (via TechCrunch) has a cornucopia of images from the book's launch, including several that showcase the various Apple-themed (NASDAQ: AAPL) displays.

MICGadget spoke to several customers who waited in line to get their copy of Jobs' long-awaited biography. One of them was Wang Xiaochuan, the chief technical officer of a Chinese web portal called Sohu. “I purchased 500 copies of the book for my colleagues, I hope they can learn from it,” he said.
Cheng Ji also purchased more than one copy, saying, “I bought five copies for my son in college and friends.”
