Wm. Morrison Reports 0.7% Rise In Comparable Sales

Wm. Morrison Supermarkets PLC (OTC: MRWSY) reported a 2.9% rise in its total sales in the six weeks to January 1 excluding fuel and value-added-tax.

However, total sales gained 5.6% including fuel. Wm. Morrison's comparable sales gained 0.7% excluding fuel and VAT, and surged 3.7% including fuel.

Wm. Morrison shares closed at $24.01 on Friday.
